"Walk By Faith"

We are home again and the last few days have been a struggle, to say the least. Just like every other struggle put before him, Andrew handled it like a real trooper. He even cracked a smile now and then...mostly in his "happy time" with pain meds. :) The bright spot to his hospitalization had to be when the Child Life Specialist came and asked him to join her as the guest Bingo host. Clarian hospitals have a closed circuit tv station located right in Riley. So, upstairs he went to host bingo. He never even thought a thing about being in a hospital gown and wheelchair! It was hilarious!! They would show a musical picture on the screen, then Andrew and the host would talk about it. He said some really funny stuff! I'd never given it much thought, but the music at church has really impacted Andrew. Several times, he'd say "At my church..." and go on to tell a story. It was funny, because even in pain, he managed to pull it together and host a tv show. They even gave us a VHS copy to keep. We tried watching it last night, but the laughing was really hurting his stomach. So, if anyone wants to see it, wait a few days and then we'd be happy to pop some popcorn and show you his latest tv adventure. :) I asked Child Life if he talked their heads off, but they were pleased that he talked as much as he did. They said it's harder if the guest host doesn't talk. Nothing to worry about there!

Speaking of music, this song is one that really touched me last fall when we were learning exactly what was going on with Andrew. And if anyone is walking by faith, it's surely my baby boy.

Walk By Faith by Jeremy Camp

Will I believe you when you say
Your hand will guide my every way
Will I receive the words You say
Every moment of every day

Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me

Help me to RID my endless fears
You've been so faithful for all my years
With the one breath You make me new
Your grace covers all I do

yeah, yeah , yeah, yeah, ya

well i will walk by faith
even when i cannot see
because this broken road
prepares your will for me

Well I'm broken- but I still see Your face
Well You've spoken- pouring Your words of grace

Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
Well because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me
(Repeat)
Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
Well because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me

Hallelujah, hallelu

I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith
I will walk,I will walk
Faith
I will walk, I will walk by faith

Praise the Lord...

I'm glad Andrew loves to worship--I meant it in my e-card when I said Andrew could sing with us again sometime after he recuperates :D

I love him
and you.
