Today was the big day for 4th graders where the school nurses separated the boys and the girls and gave the first sex ed talk. With a lump in my throat, I filled out the permission slip and hoped for the best.
I was on a mission to deliver a cake to a friend this afternoon, completely forgetting to ask Andrew how "the talk" went. My friend started telling me everything her son had said about "the talk". So, on the ride home I was glad to have the chance to ask Andrew about it. I was trying to be subtle and just said, "So, what did you learn in school today?"
His reply...Multiplication!!
WHAT?
"Yes, we learned to multiply by 10's, 100's, and 1000's." Relieved, I brought it up again. This time he shared a little about the presentation, but thankfully, there was no more talk of multiplication!!
Pretty sure I got new grey hairs out of that conversation! :)

At first, I was like--they did a math lesson to explain where babies come from?
but it's not that kind of multiplication!
I love that he gets his first sex ed talk...
yet the most interesting part of his day was learning to add zeros behind numbers!!! LOL
I love that kid.
Heehee, multiplication indeed!
